So Safe Project

So Safe Project is a partnership between Saheli, Bury Asian Women’s Centre and Rochdale Women’s Welfare Association. The partnership will be setting up group work and delivering empowerment sessions across Greater Manchester for women experiencing domestic abuse from Black, Asian and Minority communities.

The direct support in groups will enable women to develop and share skills, building resilience to respond to the issues they face. It will improve mental health with women learning how to manage their stress and anxiety as well as help them take practical steps to become financially independent, improve their physical health and relationships.

It will also enable women to access education, volunteering and employment opportunities, helping address barriers to them doing so.
